Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies and similar tracking technologies the IQBaseline website and platform use, why, and how you can control them. We aim to keep this list accurate and limited to what the site actually uses — not a generic boilerplate list.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. "Similar technologies" includes things like local storage, which some browser features use to remember a choice or setting without setting a traditional cookie.

2. What This Site Currently Uses

CategorySourcePurposeDuration
Strictly necessary IQBaseline (first-party) Authentication cookies that keep you signed in and protect your account through mandatory two-factor login. These cannot be disabled without breaking the ability to sign in. Between 5 minutes and 8 hours, depending on the specific cookie's purpose
Functionality This website (local storage, not a cookie) Remembers your selected language (EN/JP) where applicable. Until you clear your browser storage
Third-party content Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) Loads the Space Grotesk, IBM Plex Sans, and IBM Plex Mono typefaces used across the site. Loading fonts from Google's CDN means your device makes a direct request to Google's servers, which can receive your IP address as part of that request. Per Google's own font-serving infrastructure
Infrastructure Render (hosting provider) Baseline routing and performance functions provided automatically by our hosting provider. Session / short-lived, per Render's own policies

3. What We Do Not Use

As of the effective date above, this site does not run advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts (such as Google Analytics), social media pixels, or cross-site behavioral advertising tools. If this changes, this page will be updated to reflect the addition before any such technology goes live.

4. Managing Your Preference

Because every cookie IQBaseline sets is strictly necessary for signing in and protecting your account, there is currently no separate cookie-consent banner on this site — declining would mean being unable to use the platform. The only non-essential item is the language preference described above, stored locally in your browser.

5. Browser-Level Controls

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage through their settings menu. Doing so may affect the functionality of many websites, including your ability to stay signed in to IQBaseline.

6. Changes to This Policy

If the mix of cookies, fonts, or third-party services used on this site changes — for example, if analytics or additional third-party integrations are added — this page will be updated and the "Last reviewed" date above will change accordingly.
